according to the municipal bureau of ecology and environment,the water body of the sili river has entered a critical stage.various control projects, such as dredging of river sediment,diversion of rain and sewage in river basin network and regulationof sewage outlets along the river, are being carried outintensively.
sili river is an important river in the main urban area ofhefei. in order to effectively improve the water of rivercourses, in recent years, our city has promoted in-depth the siliriver water body regulation project and sediment dredging project,strictly implemented the river length system management, includingsource control and sewage interception, initial rainwaterinterception and storage, deep purification of constructed wetlandecological restoration, in-situ purification of river water, sediment removal of river bottom, and so on. a series ofengineering projects, such as site restoration, live water assurance, etc. the data show that the comprehensive pollutionassessment index (spi) of sili river water sectiondecreased by 43.3% in 2018 and 15.6% in the first of2019.
the shuangshui office of luyang district said that it wouldcontinue to play a leading role in the next step, and intensify thecomprehensive management of the water environment of the sili riverto continue to advance in depth, source and specimens. at the sametime, water environment monitoring and inspection mechanisms shouldbe established and perfected, and efforts should be made to tacklethe key battles of pollution prevention and control.
