Output reactor for SINAMICS G120C, frame size FSA

Output reactors reduce the rate of voltage rise (dv/dt) and theheight of the current peaks, and enable longer motor cables to beconnected.

Owing to the high rates of voltage rise of the fast-switchingIGBTs, the capacitance of long motor cables reverses polarity very with every switching operation in the inverter. As aresult, the inverter is loaded with additional current peaks ofsubstantial magnitude.

Output reactors reduce the magnitude of these additional peaksbecause the cable capacitance reverses polarity more slowly acrossthe reactor inductance, thereby attenuating the amplitudes of thecurrent peaks.
