Line filter for SINAMICS G120C, frame size FSAA

With a line filter, the SINAMICS G120C can achieve a higherradio interference class.

All SINAMICS G120C converters are available without and withintegrated line filter.

For SINAMICS G120C frame sizes FSAA to FSC, external linefilters suitable for base mounting are available.

Braking resistor for SINAMICS G120C, frame size FSB

Excess energy in the DC link is dissipated in the braking resistor.The braking resistors are designed for use with theSINAMICS G120C. SINAMICS G120C has an integrated brakechopper and cannot feed back regenerative energy to the linesupply. For regenerative operation, e.g. the braking of a rotatingmass with high moment of inertia, a braking resistor must beconnected to convert the resulting energy into heat.

The braking resistors are designed for mounting horizontally orvertically onto a heat-resistant sheet steel panel. The resistorsshould be mounted such as to ensure that the air can flow in andout and heat cannot build up. The heat dissipated by the brakingresistor must not diminish the converter cooling.

Every braking resistor is e with a temperature switch. Thetemperature switch can be evaluated to prevent conse damageif the braking resistor overheats.

Note:

For the electromagnetically compatible connection of an optionallyconnectable braking resistor, the corresponding shield connectionkit is to be ordered for frame sizes FSD to FSF.
