什么是塑料?塑料是在一定条件下,一类具有可塑性的高分子材料的通称,一般按照它的热熔性把它们分成:热固性塑料和热塑性塑料。它是世界三大有机高分子材料之一(三大高分子材料是塑料,橡胶,纤维)。塑料的英文名是plastic,俗称:塑胶。为什么有人称塑料为树脂?人类zui早认识的高分子材料都是树皮割破后流出的液体的提取物,呈粘稠状,也就是说它是树中提取的脂。因此,目前仍然有很多人把这种高分子材料叫树脂。但随着现代化工工业的发展,现在所用的高分子材料都是石油化工产品或石油化工的副产品或石油合成产品。现代的塑料已经不是树中提取物了,而是石化产品。
