this european standard specifies re for helmets forcanoeing and white-water sports for use in waters of classes 1 to 4as classified by clause 4. the levels of protection recognize thatmost fatalities in canoeing and white-water sports result fromdrowning after concussion and not from brain damage. this europeanstandard is not intended to apply to helmets for use in extremewhite-water situations such as those where the jumping of highwaterfalls is undertaken, because the need for impact absorptionfor such a helmet, and the area of the head to be protected, aregreater than those for most canoeing and white-water sports. thestandard applies to helmets with and without holes in the shell.本欧洲标准规定了在第4条分类的1至4类水域中使用的皮划艇和白水运动头盔的要求。保护级别承认，皮划艇和白水运动中的大多数死亡是由于脑震荡后溺水造成的，而不是脑损伤。本欧洲标准不适用于在极端白水情况下使用的头盔，例如在进行高瀑布跳跃的情况下使用的头盔，因为此类头盔对冲击吸收的需求以及需要保护的头部面积大于大多数皮划艇和白水运动的需求。本标准适用于外壳上有孔和无孔的头盔。

5、皮划艇头盔ce认证怎么做
1）i类ppe皮划艇头盔认证要求： category i
工厂自控+欧标测试报告+doc自我声明
2）ii类ppe皮划艇头盔认证要求：category ii
认证模式b+c：需要由对应皮划艇头盔资质的欧盟公告号机构进行型式测试，以及技术资料的审核，包含说明书，包装，ce标签，doc自我声明等，审核通过后工厂获得b证书；
同时除了保证工厂批次生产的个人防护皮划艇头盔都能满足ce的要求，工厂还需要进行c模式-生产控制。
3）iii类ppe皮划艇头盔认证要求：category iii
认证模式b+c2或者b+d
需要由对应皮划艇头盔资质的欧盟公告号机构进行型式测试，以及技术资料的审核，包含说明书，包装，ce标签，doc自我声明等，审核通过后工厂获得b证书；
同时每年工厂需要按照nb机构的要求进行年审，模式可以选择c2抽样测试，或者d验厂的模式，获得c2证书或者d证书。
只有b+c2和b+d全部完成才是一个完整的ce认证。
