大型UPS设备安装场地应该是“工业类型”的硬质水泥型的水平地面，如果使用防静电活动地板，则需要在考虑到地板平均负荷量的基础上，还需要根据UPS的重量来设计制作供安装设备的钢质托架。

　　对于大多数大型UPS来说，其标准机型的电缆为下进下出型，UPS机柜的通风的进气口位于机柜的正面或侧面，出气口在机柜的上部或后面。为此，在安装UPS前，需要考察用户现场是否符合安装条件，如果用户采用桥架电缆敷设时，应选用电缆为上进上出型的机型，不可到现场再重新从机柜箱体上钻孔，这样的话，会对UPS设备导致隐患。

　电源技术的基本内容：一般情况下，电源技术的主要内容包括以下几个部分:电力电子器件、功率变换电路、电源整机及系统等，电力电子器件：

　　1、不控型器件:主要是各种功率二极管，包括工频下工作的整流管、整流桥模块、快速恢复二极管、功率肖特基二极管等。

　　2、半控型器件:主要是晶闸管(亦称可控硅)，普通晶闸管其控制端在器件导通后即失去控制作用(故称半控型)，为了关断这类器件必须借助外部条件。

　　3、全控型器件:其控制端不但具有控制器件导通的能力，还有控制其关断的能力。例如大功率晶体管、功率场效应晶体管、门极关断晶闸管，还有新型的绝缘栅双极型晶体管、静电感应晶体管等。
