dowsil 7 also known as dow corning 7 isa polydimethylsiloxane polymer. 
applications: rubberindustry: lubricant and preservative for tight fitting parts: theyslide into place and easily, for difficult release jobs,e.g. battery cases. plastic industry: release agent for epoxyresins, polystyrenes, pvc, polyesters and other plastic materials.foundry and smelting industries: breaking-in of new or freshlycleaned shells, for core molds. other industries: release agent fortnt, rocket propellants, ram heads and other parts of extruders,release agent in forming integral seals for claytiles. 
features: heatstable; withstand molding temperatures up to +200°c; minimizesbuild up on molds due to heat stability and resistance tooxidation; efficient low required; inert to metals andmost plastic and organic materials; insoluble in water, methanol,ethanol, glycerol, and mineral oil.
