概况：

在进出口贸易过程中，进口商根据本国的法律或习惯，常常要求出口商将出口货物所涉及的单证拿到本国驻出口国的使馆办-理签章，然后才能到相关结汇银行进行交单结汇，这一签章过程就是人们常说的领事签章。

在香港使馆签章一般是3个工作日，加上邮寄休假的时间，所以一般是7天。北京使馆签章的一般是在7-30个工作日，视country而定，委内瑞拉，利比亚，巴西，卡塔尔等国的时间较长，但一般都是三周左右。

注意使馆签章对文种的规定及时间。

不同的country对办-理使馆签章的文种也有不同的要求，如向利比亚、科威特两国申请使馆签章时须附阿拉伯文的有关单据，向委内瑞拉、哥伦比亚、乌拉圭、玻利维亚申请使馆签章时则必须附西班牙文译文等。

土耳其、泰国、菲律宾需签章一式两份；且有时使馆公布的签章时间不稳定..好多预留时间，以免产生其它不必要的费用，如：滞港费用等等。
