pp polypropylene is a crystalline plastic with an irregular roundsurface with white waxy luster and colored particles. density0.9-0.91 g / cm, is the species in plastics. the melting point isabout 170 °c and the decomposition temperature is above 290 °caccording to the crystallinity and molecular weight, so it has awide range of molding temperature, molding shrinkage 1.0-2.5% . ppcan be used at 100 °c, with good electrical propertiesuency insulation, and not affected by humidity. but thelow temperature brittle, not wear-resistant, easy to aging.suitable for making general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistantparts and insulation, parts. in addition, the hinge made of ppmaterial has excellent fatigue resistance. typical applicationrange, in medicine, food, chemical and other industries andpeople's daily life has a wide range of uses.
pp is a semi-crystallinematerial. it is harder than pe and has a higher melting point.because homopolymer pp is very brittle when the temperature ishigher than 0 °c, many commercial pp materials are clamp blockcopolymers with 1-4% ethylene or higher ethylenecontent.

copolymer-type pp materialshave lower thermal distortion temperature (100 °c) , highertransparency, lower gloss and lower rigidity, but higher impactstrength. the impact strength of pp increases with the increase ofethylene content. the vicar softening temperature of pp was 150 °c.due to its high crystallinity, the material has good surfacestiffness and scratch resistance. pp does not have the problem ofenvironmental stress cracking. generally, pp is modified by addingglass fiber, metal additive or thermoplastic rubber. the mfr of ppis in the range of 1 ~ 40. pp with low mfr had better impactresistance but lower tensile strength. for the same mfr material,the impact strength of copolymer type is higher than homopolymertype. as a result of crystallization, the shrinkage of pp is , generally 1.8 ~ 2.5% . and the directional uniformity ofshrinkage is much better than that of pe-hd and other materials.the shrinkage was reduced to 0.7% by adding 30% glass additive.homopolymer and copolymer type pp materials have excellent moistureabsorption resistance, anti-acid-base corrosion resistance,anti-solubility. however, it is not resistant to aromatichydrocarbon solvents such as benzene and chlorinated hydrocarbon(tetrachloromethane) solvents. pp does not have the same hightemperature oxidation resistance as pe. oh, shit
