1. 法兰之间的空隙应当允许阀板半闭状态的阀进入，这样在安装过程中及初次打开阀门的时候阀座边缘将被保护并且密封圈内侧将缩小。

2. 在调整好阀门与管道法兰的位置后及旋紧螺栓之前，阀板应置于完全打开位置。如果阀板处于关闭状态，密封圈可能被扭曲、挤压膨胀并包住阀板边缘，在实效打开时造成极大的力矩。阀座可能因此撕扯、扭曲造成性的损害。

3. 在安装蝶阀时，如果法兰未能给予蝶阀充分的空间将会损坏密封圈。

1、 theseparation between the flanges should allo free access to the valvewith the disc half closed, when the valve open, the rim will beprotected and the initial sealing is reduced during theistallation.

2、 afteraligning the valve with the tube flanges, and before tightening thebolts, the disc should be turned until it completely opened. if itwere closed it would twist the ring, so it would expand round theedge of the disc, which would create and excessively high torque inthe initial opening.

3、 ifthe flanges are not sufficiently separated they cold damage theelastic ring.
