(nyse: fdx) and one of the world’slargest expresstransportation companies, is bolstering support forcross-bordertrade and e-commerce growth in korea with the launchof its newfedex incheon gateway located at incheon internationalairport,south korea. the new facility offers enhanced capabilitiesthat willbenefit local businesses looking to access internationalmarkets andsupport the growing demand for e-commerce andcold-chainshipments.connectingmore businesses to global markets
the newincheon gateway spans 23,395 square meters, more thandouble thesize of the previous facility, and is e with 78conveyorbelts and an advanced automated sortation system that cansort upto 12,000 packages per hour, doubling the previoussortingcapacity. it also includes a 15,207-s warehouse thatcansafely store up to 40,000 packages. with 31 weekly flights, thenewfacility connects korea to over 220 countries andterritoriesthrough the fedex global network. the new gatewaysupportsimporters and exporters including small- andmedium-enterprises(smes) and heavy-weight shippers with greater andmore reliableaccess to and from international markets.
