　　fedex express (fedex), the world’s largest express transportationcompany and a subsidiary of fedex corp. (nyse: fdx), has begunoperating a new flight linking the european air hub in liège(belgium) to the fedex express world hub in memphis (u.s.) in earlyapril 2017. from memphis the aircraft will continue on around-the-world flight to shanghai (china) via seattle (u.s.) andanchorage (u.s.) before returning to liège.

　　this is an important step in connecting the fedex express andworldwide networks, which will give customers around the globedirect access to the robust portfolio of fedex express services inthe u.s. and canada.

　　fedex express will use boeing 777 freighters offering 116 tons ofcapacity for the liège-memphis service. once in memphis, thevolumes will be injected into the fedex network for delivery acrossthe u.s. and canada.
