the trial will be performed on 10 samples measuring 120 mm x 20mm.

one end of a steel rod is smelted on the flame of an oxyacetyleneblowtorch with a diameter of 1.2 mm. the rod will be pushed forwardwith a variable-speed motor and a pulley system. prior toperforming the test, the speed of the motor must be adjusted sothat the steel rod can be fed into it at a speed of 10 g/min. onceall parameters have been adjusted, the test consisting ofprojecting molten metal drops on the same area of the sample willbe performed.
