喷枪的使用和保养

喷枪的选择应注意，底漆在涂层中主要起填平补缺、增加涂层厚度的作用，因此底漆的粒度较大，粘度较大，比重较大,强调出漆量要大，所以喷涂底漆的喷枪应该是喷咀要大口径的，下边贮漆罐也要大一些。而喷涂面漆的,在雾化程度方面要求高，常选用口径较小而雾化好的喷枪。常用喷枪的喷咀的有不同口径，有0·6mm、0·8mm、1·0mm、1·2mm、1·3mm、1·5mm、1·6mm、1·8mm、2·0mm、2·2mm、2·5mm等各种型号的，可根据所喷的涂料及喷涂的物件大小来选择。例如：口径2·0—2·5mm的，常用来喷粒度较粗、粘度较大的底漆或大面积喷涂；口径1·5—1·8mm的，主要用来喷涂面漆；口径0·6—1·3mm的，主要用于喷涂小型部件或工艺品。
喷枪的调整
喷枪的调整主要是指出气量和出漆量的调整。这是两个互相关联的主因素。出气量太小，不易使漆液雾化，使漆液成滴状洒落会使涂膜不平整。出漆量大小是对应于出气量的大小的，在喷涂之前要调整好合适的出气量和相应的出漆量，使漆液雾化好，均匀地喷涂于物面上。调整喷枪一要听（听气流声音，知道气流大小），二要看（看喷枪口漆液的雾化程度和扇形面积的大小）。用喷枪的几个重要参数如下：空气压力：喷涂的空气压力一般为（0.4--0.6mpa）；喷幅宽度：喷涂在作业表面的宽度约为10cm；喷涂距离：喷涂时，枪嘴与被喷物间的距离为15--20cm；移动速度：喷枪的移动速度一般为30--60cm/秒；重叠范围：喷涂时每一枪的重叠范围为1/2--1/3（裂纹漆除外）；喷涂角度：枪嘴与被喷物之间的角度一般为90°。
喷枪维护
喷枪使用完毕，用所喷涂的涂料的稀释剂进行喷射清洁，直到喷枪涂料通道洗净为止。否则枪内涂料干固堵塞会影响喷枪的正常使用。具体清洗方法；关闭压缩空气，拆下贮漆罐，将枪内涂料倒回贮漆罐中，将罐中的涂料倒入容器中；向贮漆罐内倒入约1/4体积的溶剂进行冲洗，装上贮漆罐，接通压缩空气，反复摇滚喷涂几次；拆开喷头，用溶剂刷洗干净后装上；擦除枪身上的涂料。
洗刷喷枪时应注意如下几点：刷洗时要用软刷子，禁止使用金属刷子，不准用硬物去捅、刮，防止磨损喷嘴，使射流形状发生变化；避免喷枪直接泡在溶剂中，以防残余涂料附在机件上以及溶掉枪上的润滑油，可使用沾有溶剂的软布擦；枪上的滚花部件均用手调节，避免使用钳子工具；定期在针阀及枪机销轴处滴润滑油；定期应用轻油脂或凡士林润滑针阀及针阀弹簧，不得使用含硅的油。
喷房的密封
为了使喷房内的空气清洁、无尘、喷房的门窗都应装有空气净化过滤装置，常用200目绢丝布安装在门窗上，使进入喷房的空气被过滤、除尘，达到净化的目的。工作台前方是水帘机及排气风扇，可使喷涂作业时产生的飞扬漆雾被排气扇排出室外，保持室内的空气清新，这样有利于操作者的身体健康，也可防止飞扬的漆雾溅落在喷涂后的被涂物面上，保证了被涂面的平整、光滑。

面漆（成品）喷涂等，要求特别微粒化的涂料粒子，根据涂料喷出量必须选择空气量多的型号，
特别是金属性喷涂等，空气量必须尽可能大。
涂料粘度和涂料喷嘴口径的选定
必须根据涂料粘度选定喷嘴口径，一般来说，涂料粘度低选择小口径，涂料粘度高选择大口径。
压送式型号，喷嘴口径小也能在低粘度到高粘度比较广的范围内使用。
