早期UPS采SCR降压转换技术，易产生谐波并回灌电网，导致设备误动作、伤害设备或造成资料不正确；此后从TransistorUPS、IGBTUPS一路演进，迄至目前众家UPS厂商皆推出EcoMode，各有巧妙不同。以EATON而论，凭借专利的节能系统ESS技术，自动选择佳的电力保护方式，能连续监测输入电压，在需要时以不到0.002秒（《2ms）的时间，转换至逆变器输出（电池模式/Online模式），有效过滤快速低能量瞬时，保障重要负载。

　　MDC单机柜，集成机房物理基础设施

　　针对渐趋热门的边缘运算议题，EATON则推出MDC解决方案来因应。王子贤指出，该公司基于客户所提之多样化需求，据此集成资料中心物理基础设施，包括UPS、配电系统、机柜、空调系统、监控系统及照明系统，所打造而成的微型机房一体化方案。

　　前述的MDC单机柜，其空调部份采用冷热通道全封闭系统，强化气流管理效能，此外也提供独特的应急冷却机制，藉由进风温度侦测，一旦察觉高温，旋即会控制机柜的前、后门弹开；此项设计，有助于企业得以放心运行无人化微型机房。

　　另一方面，王子贤也特别介绍EATON推出的xStorage储能系统，强调其存在价值为稳定再生电力、降低碳足迹，当连接市电时，可透过在夜间充电（离峰用电），并在用电尖峰需求时释放储存的能量，以达削峰填谷功效，连带有机会促使契约容量调降。

与电池不同，燃料电池发电而不是储存电源。燃料电池基本上是一种将燃料(通常是氢气或天然气)转化为能量的电化学装置。然而，与也将燃料转化为能量的内燃机不同，氢动力燃料电池的排出的燃烧产物是水。

　　因此，从汽车制造商到电力公司，再到UPS制造商，每家企业都在测试其应用中的燃料电池，或者调查其使用情况。一些更先进的数据中心客户使用燃料电池与2N或双总线配置中的公用电源相结合。

　　1、优点：

　　1)环保：与铅酸电池不同，燃料电池对环境几乎没有危险。

　　2)长备份时间：只要您企业数据中心具有足够的燃料，燃料电池就会持续供应紧急电力。这意味着平均燃料电池能够比铅酸电池或本文中所讨论的其他三种备用电源中的任何一种提供更多的待机能量。

　　2、缺点：

　　成本较高：尽管近年来价格大幅下降，但燃料电池仍然比铅酸电池昂贵得多。电力成本是一个重要的考虑因素，因为典型的燃料电池只有85%的效率。

　　安全问题：燃料源是易燃的，因此企业数据中心对于燃料电池必须非常小心地安装、存放和提供支持。

　　延迟开始时间：通常需要大约30秒才能使燃料电池启动并以全功率运行。因此，基于燃料电池的UPS设备通常会使用小型电池在启动期间提供备用电源。
