并列结构这个考点虽小但意义非凡，首先我们来回想一下表示并列结构的词或短语有哪些，为常见的有and, also, or, aswell as, not only…but also等。那应用到雅思考题里，并列考点会如何出题，我们来看以下几个例子。

雅思阅读 - 并列考点

例题1：

the territory of nunavut consists of little more than ice, rockand a few____. c6t1p3

原文：nunavut is 1.9 million square kilometers of rock and ice, anda handful of islands around the north pole.这道题我们读题时可以看出来是个并列考点题，根据已知信息ice,rock去原文对应到相关句子，然后得出另一个并列信息点islands，所以这题答案为islands。

例题2：

positive results could be produced by factors such as _____ or______. c8t1p3

原文：there were many other ways of getting positive results. theseranged from "sensory leakage" - where clues about the picturesaccidentally reach the receiver - to outright fraud.

这题属于高难度并列点考题，首先题目出现a or b的并列结构，我们根据positiveresults先定位到相关句子，原文有个隐藏结构range from a tob(范围从a到b)，中间破折号是在解释前面引号里的词，那么我们就可以得出答案是sensory leakage和outrightfraud。

雅思听力 - 并列考点

例题1：where does circus romano perform? (c4t3s2)

a.in a theatre

b.in a tent

c.in a stadium

原文：the first is the circus romano from italy. as this is atravelling circus, it follows a long tradition by performing in amarquee - which is really like a canvas portable building, usuallyput up in a green space or car park, rather than in a theatre orstadium.

这题根据题干信号词circusromano定位到相应句子，正向听答案我们能听到一个答案词marquee（大帐篷），但是这个词大多数同学都是不认识的，这时候并列关系就要起大作用了，我们往后会听到theatre和stadium由ratherthan引出，听力单选题中有两个选项同时提到可以并列排除，所以此题答案为b。

例题2：the semira region has a long tradition of (c7t3s2)

a.making carpets

b.weaving blankets

c.carving wood

原文：the area has been famous for centuries for making beautifulcarpets, although recently there has been a trend to move intoweaving blankets and wood carving.

这题同样地making carpets单独出现，后面weaving blankets和woodcarving并列出现，可以打包排除，得出答案为a。
